Douglas County Philanthropy exists to strengthen how local giving works — and that work is built through shared commitment.
Our partners play a vital role in supporting education, gatherings, and shared resources that help nonprofits, businesses, and community leaders engage with philanthropy more effectively and with greater confidence. Together, we are strengthening the relationships and shared understanding that support the long-term health of our community.
Partnership with Douglas County Philanthropy is not about visibility alone. It is about stewardship — contributing leadership, experience, and support to help build the civic infrastructure that allows generosity to move with intention, trust, and lasting impact.

Douglas County Philanthropy was launched with the support of White Whale Events, which serves as a founding partner and events and education sponsor.
White Whale Events brings decades of experience in leadership-driven fundraising, event strategy, nonprofit engagement, and board leadership. This experience helped inform early programming, intentional gatherings, and shared learning — ensuring the initiative is grounded in real-world practice and built with intention, credibility, and long-term community benefit in mind.
While Douglas County Philanthropy operates independently as a neutral civic entity, the early stewardship of White Whale Events helped establish a strong foundation for collaboration, shared understanding, and sustainable local impact.

Douglas County Philanthropy partners with organizations that want to play an active role in strengthening how generosity works in our community.
Partnership is an opportunity to align with a growing civic effort focused on intentional local giving, shared learning, and long-term community health. Partners support gatherings, education, and shared resources that bring nonprofits, businesses, and community leaders into better alignment — and signal a commitment to thoughtful, place-based philanthropy.
Partnership may include supporting initiatives such as the Douglas County Philanthropy Summit, contributing expertise or resources to shared learning, or serving as a civic ally in advancing the Give Where You Live Initiative. Each partnership is shaped collaboratively, with care given to alignment, capacity, and shared purpose.
We take a deliberate approach to partnership — prioritizing depth, integrity, and long-term impact over transactional sponsorships. Our goal is to build relationships that strengthen the community, elevate those involved, and create value that extends well beyond a single event or moment.
If your organization is interested in being part of this work — and in helping shape the future of local philanthropy in Douglas County — we welcome the conversation.
